An item did not make it into the cart

Why a store drops a product from a cart, and how to fix it for good.

What it is

A store drops products it cannot sell right now, so the cart that opens can hold fewer items than the page listed.

How it helps

Check the cart before you check out. Amazon names what it could not add at that moment, which catches a dropped item while it still costs you ten seconds instead of a week.

What to be aware of

Out of stock today usually means back next week. Buy it elsewhere this once and leave the item alone.

For a product gone for good, open the item on your Shopping List and use Replace. Paste the new link and the item keeps its place, its quantity and its category. Replace updates every property carrying that product at once.
