Who we are
Restock (stayrestocked.com) helps short-term-rental owners keep properties stocked. Questions about this policy: support@stayrestocked.com.
What we collect from owners
Your email address (used to sign in; if you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us), your organization and property names, the product lists and quantities you set up, the reports and cart clicks your account generates, and any email you send support.
What we collect from cleaners
The reporting page doesn't require cleaners to provide any information: no name, phone number, email, or account is needed to scan and submit. A cleaner may choose to attach a photo of the supply closet; that photo is stored for the property's owner. To prevent misuse, we limit how many reports each property's QR code can send per hour. The limit applies to the property's code, not to any person, so we never need to identify who is scanning. In the future we may offer optional, authenticated services for cleaning teams (for example, proof-of-service records), which may include anonymized scan information; any such service will come with its own clear terms. We do record, for each scan, which broad kind of phone and browser it came from (for example “iPhone, Safari”) so we can test the page on what people actually use. That's a handful of general categories, never a device fingerprint, and it can't be traced back to a person.
Collected automatically
Sign-in session cookies keep you signed in. On our public pages we use an analytics service and an advertising pixel to understand how the site is used and to reach people who have visited it, and a cookie that remembers which link first brought you here. None of these run on the cleaner reporting page. Some help pages and guides offer how-to videos that play from YouTube; nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and from then on YouTube's privacy policy applies to the video. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operations.
How we use it
To run the service: deliver reports, send report emails, build cart links, answer support. We also use anonymized, aggregated data for cohort-level insights (for example, “how often do mountain cabins run out of paper towels”), never anything that identifies a single property or owner.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers for cloud infrastructure (database, sign-in, and file storage), website hosting, and email delivery; they process data only to run Restock for us. When you click a cart link you leave Restock for Amazon or Walmart, and their privacy policies govern there. We may earn a commission on some retailer links at no extra cost to you.
What we never do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads or ad trackers. We never handle your payment details. Purchases happen at the retailer.
Sharing
The processors above, and disclosures required by law. Nobody else.
If you join the waitlist
The waitlist form asks for your name, company, email, role, how many properties you work with, and your biggest restocking pain point. We keep that to evaluate and contact you when a spot opens. Nothing else is done with it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Email support@stayrestocked.com to request deletion of your organization's data and we'll complete it within 30 days (anonymized aggregates and security logs may persist). The same address handles requests for a copy of your data or corrections.
Report emails are the product: they're sent when your cleaner submits a report. We don't send marketing email during the pilot.
Children
Restock is for adults; it isn't directed at children.
Changes
We'll stamp a new version and note material changes on this page; continued use after a change means the new version applies.
