How Restock works with Costco, Sam’s Club and more
Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's, or any store with product pages: paste the link and it joins your list. One scan by your cleaner becomes one notification with every item to order and a link for each. No supply texts, no walking the aisles guessing.
to your cart.
A sample of what your cleaner sees
- This is a sample list mixing three club stores. Yours is built from your own links.
- Tap products the way your cleaner marks them: one tap for getting low, tap the badge for out now.
- Then watch your restock alert build below: one tap-ready link per item, each opening its own store.
Why no pre-filled cart
- Amazon and Walmart offer cart building, so their items arrive as one pre-filled cart.
- Costco, Sam's Club, and most other stores don't offer that, so their items arrive as tap-ready links. You add to cart on their site, signed into your own account.
- Nothing is bought automatically, and one Shopping List can mix all of them. Each item takes its own door.
Questions owners ask about club stores
Anything not about stores is in the owner FAQ.
Which stores count as club stores here?
Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's are the ones owners ask about, but the rule is simpler than a list: if a store gives a product its own web page, you can paste that link and it becomes an item. Restock knows the six stores it names by sight and treats everything else as its own store, with the link intact.
Why does a club store not fill a cart?
Because those stores do not offer a way to. Amazon and Walmart accept a link that opens a cart with items already in it; Costco and Sam's Club do not, so no product can honestly promise one. Restock does the next best thing rather than pretending: each item arrives as its own tap-ready link that opens the product page, signed into your own account, ready to add.
Is a link really worth it compared to a filled cart?
It is the difference between an order and an errand. The alternative for most owners is a text at an inconvenient hour, a mental note, and a shopping trip reconstructed from memory. A request that names every item, with a link on each one, means nothing is forgotten and nothing gets typed into a search box twice.
Can I mix a club store with Amazon or Walmart?
Yes, and that is the normal case. One Shopping List holds items from any mix of stores, and each item keeps its own. A request that spans three stores comes back sorted: the Amazon items open an Amazon cart, the Walmart items a Walmart cart, and the club store items arrive as links.
Do I need my membership to set this up?
Only in the sense that you need it to shop. Building the Shopping List is pasting product links, which anyone can do. Checking out happens on the store's own site, in your own account, exactly as it does today. Restock never holds a membership number and never signs in as you.
Club sizes are huge. Does that confuse anything?
No, because Restock counts packages, not sheets or ounces. A thirty-roll pack is one item at whatever quantity you set. Your cleaner is telling you the closet is running low on the thing in the closet, and the size is whatever you already buy.
What about the things Costco only sells in the warehouse?
Add them without a link. An item does not need one to exist: your cleaner sees it, marks it out or low, and it arrives in your request on its own line, so it makes the trip list with everything else. It is a large part of why a Shopping List describes a closet rather than a storefront.
Can I paste a whole Costco list at once?
You can paste one, and it is worth checking the result. Restock reads copied list pages from Amazon, Walmart, and Costco, and the first two are tuned against real pastes while Costco's is newer. Paste yours, look at what landed, and fix anything that came in wrong. Single links always work.
Do you earn a commission on club store orders?
No. These stores have no program we take part in, so their links go out exactly as they came in. Amazon is the only store where a purchase can pay us anything, and that page says so.
Shopping at Amazon or Walmart too? Those get the pre-filled cart. See the Amazon page or the Walmart page.
